Blue Ridge Mountains |

This Scene is of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The tree lines really do cast a blue tint, which is how they got their name. The shadows cast by the trees suggest that the sun in just beginning to peek over the tip of the mountain. My preferred painting technique here is impressionism. I worked very fast to keep my work loose and spontaneous. |
