Two Blue Butterfly's

This is an oil painting that my niece requested I create for her. She was collecting butterfly novelties at the time and thought that this painting would be a good idea. I gave this painting to Kelly as a Christmas gift. She really liked it a lot.

I have done butterfly paintings is pastel chalks before in the past, but this is the only painting I have done in oils of a butterfly.  It turned out very well.  Kelly really liked it.

The blue morpho butterfly (Morpho peleides). Bright-blue wing coloration and native to Central and South America.
