Drayton Pond

This is a waterscape oil painting picture of one of the ponds where they raise finger-length Walleye at the Drayton Nature Center in Drayton Plains Michigan. The walleye are released into the river where they migrate to several local lakes in the area.

Most of the lakes in the area are very good fishing as a result of the fish hatchery's efforts. Walleye are great fun to catch and delicious to fry up and eat.

There are also many species of waterfowl to be seen here as well. Ducks and Geese are plentiful and visitors can stop at the Nature Center and buy some feed to give to the ducks, geese, and birds in the area.
