I spent many hours working on this oil painting. I used various pallet knives and brushes to create the rough and jagged appearance of the stone in the canyon. It was great fun, even thought it took me so long to complete it. I was over three months laboring away at the end result before I was satisfied enough to declare this painting completed. I don't often create paintings using pallet knives. A unique look and feel is conveyed in the art as a result. The rocks and large boulders can only be given a rough and jagged look using this technique. I liked the end result. |
