Holly Pond

This is an impressionistic oil painting of a little pond during the fall color time of the year in Holly Michigan.

This painting was created from a picture that I acquired by a campgrounds that is located in the Holly area. I used a Canon Elan II with a 28 mm lens. I was driving around in the countryside looking for good nature scenes to get pictures of for my paintings. The fall colors were really popping when I took this shot. I love the doubling effect of the sky and land when the air and water are still enough to create water that is as smooth as glass

One of the most enjoyable things about this painting for me is the rich fall colors in this oil painting. I was very lucky to have nature cooperate with me on my effort with this one.
