Tahquamanon River Bend

This is an impressionistic oil painting of a small section of beach sand on a bend on the Tahquamanon River in the Michigan Upper Peninsula. This is a section of the river that runs through the camp grounds. I camped there with good friends for a week. We had great fun and also visited the upper falls.

I created this oil painting from one of the many pictures that I took while I was there. The fishing is supposed to be good there but I didn't catch much while we were there.
