Birch Trees

This is a watercolor painting of a stand of Birch Trees. This is a watercolor painting of a stand of Birch Trees in a forest.

I have spent many hours of my youth up North with my grandfather on his 80 acres in Harrison Michigan. There are many Birch trees there. I have always had fond memories of them, so I painted this watercolor of them.

This stand of Birch Trees is close to some of the low land were Gramps would take my brother and myself to shoot the .22 rifle. We had great fun. We would set up tin cans and paper targets and see who was that best shot.

Gramps always won, but I guess that was because we were young boys in the process of learning.

When I was in the process of creating this watercolor painting I remember many of the good times that I spent with my Grandfather Leon Rose.

The woods in northern Michigan can be a great place to be and creating a watercolor painting of it is great fun and inspiration.
