This is a still life oil painting of a group of cut flowers in a vase.
This painting was a class project while I was attending Oakland Community College. I was in the process of completing my associates degree in the fine arts. My instructor (Delia Lete Antworth) brought in a bunch of fresh cut flowers and put them in this vase. The entire class had about two hours to start and complete this still-life setup.
This paintings is very fast, loose, and spontaneous. The brush strokes are a bit on the thick, heavy, and unblended side.
