This is a watercolor painting of a Sunset On The Ocean.  The is a simple painting I did from a magazine in the winter when I had extra time on my hands.  I love the warm colors and decided to paint the image in watercolors.

I chose to paint my brush strokes into dry paper to maintain a pure impressionistic effect. I didn't want to paint wet paints into wet paper which will cause the brush strokes to blend to some extent as I paint.  These crude strokes have managed to create a fresh vibrant effect that excites the eye a bit.
