This is an oil painting that I created from a picture that I took a few years back. I started and completed the painting in 2007. I was lucky to have so little wind on such a warm summer day. The water was very calm and glassy as a result.
This section of the Holloway Reservoir is located in the little town of Columbiaville. It is a little town just a little ways past Lapeer. I spent many days there fishing from time to time.
I have fond memories of catching Walleye, Pike, Bass, and an occasional Catfish on the reservoir. This painting reminds me of the great times that I had there.
