This is one of my early non objective abstract oil paintings. It was created when I attended High School at Waterford Mott in 1973. My instructor Sheila Joannitas and I worked on this painting together. She was teaching me how to create an abstract painting using painterly and expressive brush strokes. It was a learning process.
It was one of my senior student art projects. This painting also won a Blue Ribbon award in an art competition sponsored by Waterford Mott High School.
Loose natural spontaneous brush strokes comprise the composition. Nothing was re-worked or touched up. Everything went in pure.
