This is a watercolor painting of Candaheart. This is an area of state forest In Oakland County Michigan where we used to party when I was a teenager.
Candaheart is a place out in the Maceday Lake Woods where kids that I grew up with used to have parties. The local DNR tried to keep the kids out, but the kids still managed to have their parties most of the time.
This area of the state forest became so popular that the DNR turned it into a campgrounds with paved roads, modern and rustic campsites, and hiking trails for walking and mountain biking. It is now known as Pontiac Lake Recreation Area. Their mountain biking trail is ranked number 7 in the state of Michigan. Here is a video for you mountain bikers of the Pontiac Lake Mountain Biking Trail.
I especially like this painting of Candaheart because it brings back some of those good old memories of my youth.
