This is an oil painting of a quaint little wetland that is located just off the side of the road out in Davisburg Michigan.  It is so small, that if you sneezed while you were driving by it, you might miss it completely. The sediment in the bottom of the pond is very rich and a jet black color.  The rich full fall colors are doubled in the reflection of the cool dark blue hue of the water.  

This impressionist oil painting was created from a photograph that I took while driving around out in Davisburg during the fall color time of the year.  As you can see, it was a beautiful, sunny, fall day.  I had great fun that day while driving around out in the countryside.  I was also fun in the winter when I painted this picture from the photograph that I took.
