This is a pastel chalk drawing that I did of a painted bunting bird. I probably created this drawing from a picture in one of my dad's Autobahn books.  It was most likely created back in the 80s when I had an interest in a lot of the birds that I would watch in our backyard.

As you can see, it is just a basic study and not a detailed and completed composition. These quick studies are fun little projects to do a rainy day When you can't get outdoors.
