This is a self portrait of myself that I had to complete while I attended Oakland Community College. This project was a one week assignment that I completed in three days or about 7 hours. I am not sure exactly when I completed this class project, but I'm pretty sure it was sometime back in the late 90's. The drawing is done in pastel chalks on a quality toothed chalk drawing paper.
I had done several other self portraits and decided to make each one just a little bit different. I chose to wear my glasses and set them at a slight tilt to suggest expression. I also raised my right eyebrow. The small details are often the elements that make the difference.
