This is an impressionistic oil painting of a small section of beach sand on a bend on the Tahquamanon River in the Michigan Upper Peninsula. This is a section of the river that runs through the Rivermouth Campgrounds. I camped there with good friends for a week. We had great fun and also visited the upper and lower falls.
I created this oil painting from one of the many pictures that I took while I was there. The fishing is supposed to be good there but I didn't catch much while we were there.
This is a very popular tourist destination for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It's so beautiful and scenic everywhere. Just the beautiful scenery in the campgrounds alone makes. the trip worth it. You can visit the popular Tahquamenon Falls, go hiking, fishing, boating, explore a ship wreck and visit White Fish Point. There is fun in almost every direction.
