Welcome to my watercolor paintings web page. Here you will find mostly impressionist watercolor paintings.  I have taken a new found interest in impressionistic styles and techniques since I have taken a French Art History class at Oakland Community College.

Watercolor paintings have many unique characteristics that create the mood, feel, nuance, and impact that they can have on a viewer. Watercolor paints themselves are greatly a part of enabling an artist to do this.  When the paints are mixed with water the artist can chose to put the paints on in layers of transparencies or lay the paint in opaque.  It is the layers of transparencies that mostly allows the artist to create the uniqueness that watercolor painting actually is.

The Art Gallery Gate is an online art gallery. We exhibit art, art prints, watercolor paintings, abstract paintings, landscape paintings, waterscape paintings, portrait paintings, group paintings, and commissioned paintings. I am also thinking about exhibiting the works of several other artists on this website,
