This is an oil painting of Emerald Island at Wenatchee National Forest in Washington.  This oil painting is of the famous cascade range during the winter season.

It is famous because of the natural beauty of the landscape, the popularity of Wenatchee National Forest state park, and the breath-taking views.  The photo has been published and used by many magazine, book, and calendar publishers.  I first saw the picture when I noticed it on my fathers Moose calendar in 2008. I liked it so much that I decided to create an oil painting of it.

Some day I hope to take a holiday and visit the Wenatchee National Forest.  I will have to take my cameras and get more great pictures of this great natural creation.
