This is a watercolor painting of the Holloway Reservoir in Columbiaville Michigan.

I created this watercolor painting on a beautiful spring morning while visiting Columbiaville. I pulled off to the shoulder of the road and set up my equipment. I work very fast with watercolor paints and completed this painting in less then three hours.

Curious onlookers stopped and made positive comments on my work. It was nice to take a break and chat with many of the local residents. People there are friendly and easy to make friends with.  One of the benefits of plein air paintings is that the artist often meets many of the residents living in the area.
